Pachamama

Behold everything you need to know about Pachamama:

1) She is an ever-present dragon deity in Inca mythology.

2) She is Mother Earth, and nature itself.

3) She makes a mean chocolate fondant with salted peanut ice cream.

Ahora welcome to another in the increasingly long line of London’s Peruvian hotspots: Pachamama.

You’ll find it inside what looks like the converted warehouse flatshare of three Liman fashion students who have recently moved to Marylebone, installed a 16-seater red and white tiled centrepiece bar in their living room, and then set out a collection of tables and chairs across two softly-lit main dining rooms and three private booking spaces.

You’re going to want to start with drinks, so head to the bar where you’ll find Peruvian-style, pisco-heavy cocktails mixed through with Mother Earth’s favourite South American herbal and fruit infusions, as well as craft beers, American wines and British bubbles.

And then, when it’s time to eat, peruse the menu, slowly feasting your eyes on shareable starters like chicharrones and crispy duck leg; mains like wild Cornish sea bass ceviche and josper-grilled crispy lamb belly with miso; plus desserts like almond milk panna cotta with passion fruit, and pumpkin ‘n’ sweet potato doughnuts.

London’s vegetable-based doughnut scene.

So hot right now.

NOTE: Pachamama is open daily for lunch/weekend brunch and dinner. You can reserve a table online HERE. You might also want to visit the follow-up branch in Shoreditch, Pachamama East
