Balls & Company

Balls & Company | Soho Restaurant

NOTE: Sadly, Balls & Company has now closed.

Fancy grabbing some balls in Soho?

Assuming so, let’s meet up at Balls & Company: a place which we would kindly ask you to refrain from telling anyone else about for as long as possible. Because as of this moment, it’s officially “our little secret”…

…. however considering the fact that it’s a dual level, gourmet meatball restaurant and wine bar in Soho built by two budding set designers from the Royal Shakespeare Company, and headed up by ex-MasterChef Australia finalist Bonny Porter it’s very unlikely to stay that way for long.

The summary of Bonny’s resume is as follows… After being born, she became a finalist on MasterChef Australia. She then moved to London, and while working as a chef in the kitchens of The Arts Club and Village East she decided that what London really needed was a restaurant dedicated to meatballs.

And the rest, as they say, is history now involves you heading either to Balls & Company’s ground-floor restaurant and kitchen, or down into its intimate, date spot-worthy basement bar and restaurant in order to enjoy wagyu beef; pork with ricotta and pine nuts; salmon confit; chicken and rolled quinoa, beetroot and feta balls… all of which you can mix and match with Bonny’s homemade sauces and freshly baked crispbread.

On the menu you’ll also find side dishes that change daily, wines from a selection of local and international small-scale producers, and desserts like chocolate brownie with Persian fairy floss.

To conclude, we’d like to thank Bonny & Co for opening a restaurant which has clearly taken huge quantities of preparation, creativity and hard work.

And yes, a lot of balls.
