Opera di Peroni

Next week, you’re going to the opera.

In a warehouse.

For £11.

There are several reasons for this, the most compelling of which being that you live in London; you’re free next week (we checked); and you’ve just been invited to attend an immersive Italian opera inside a warehouse.

The dastardly quest to create an opera that you might actually stay awake through (and stay awake you will, unless you can sleep while walking….) has come about as a direct result of Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s desire to embrace its Italian heritage.

And, as you well know, if there’s one thing that the Italians are famous for… it’s pasta.

But if there’s another, it’s opera.

You’ll arrive at the sprawling Factory 7 warehouse – a short walk from Liverpool Street – at around 19:30, giving you just enough time to grab a complimentary drink and some Italian-style aperitivo, before wandering through the set. Then at 8pm a 20-strong musical ensemble – including writer and producer Kwes – will appear, bringing their modern version of Puccini’s La Rondine to life as you move from a loft apartment into a high end nightclub, never knowing where the action will next unfold….

But chances are high it’ll be right next to you.
